Top 5 Play’n Go Slot Games

This list of the top 5 Play’n Go slots is based on my opinion alone coupled with the popularity fro the iGaming slots tracker which tracks the most played slot titles in the UK. The most popular slots can be found in our poplar slots article.

RTP value can be variable and may differ from website to website

Rich Wilde, Book of Dead
The book of Dead comes from the Rich Wilde series of Play’n Go slots. The series includes other titles such as the Amulet of dead and Legacy of Dead, which have followed in the great success of this title.

Played on a standard 5 reel 3 row board on an Ancient Egypt theme and 96.21% standard RTP [which is variable from slot sit to slot site, so please check] With a simple to follow 10 win lines, the max win is 5,000x

The Book of Dead slot is high volatility however, so be prepared for long losing runs, but with high volatility comes potentially big wins in the bonus rounds. Even the standard game is not against throwing in a high value 5 of a kind from time to time.

Three or more scatters awards 10 free spins, where you receive a nominated symbol which can connect by landing on any of the five reels. Low value symbols have to hit a minimum of three, but premiums can connect with just two.

Retriggers are possible and not infrequent and add a further symbol that can be connected anywhere on the reels.

Book of Dead is the original and still probably the best, proven by appearing in the top 3 monst played online slots month after month in the IGB slots tracker

Gemix 2
Gemix 2 is one of the newer slot games from Play’n Go in which they have retained most of the original title such the worlds and the world bonus but added more features and characters.

Cluster pays are an alternative from payline reels and connecting five or more, with a cascade function means win can start small and rack up quickly with subsequent cluster pays. The Max win is 7,500 in a high volatility game with an RTP of around 96.3%

Enjoy the world guardians who appear randomly, adding 4×4 mega wilds, miner lamp wilds [up to 10], spreading wilds from the princess or Wizard sticky wilds to help get your wins and the cascading underway.

Each winning symbol is added to the Crystal Charge meter which will start to award board changing function, once 25 symbols are collected, These range from the initial Nova Blast, through, Crystal Warp, light Beam and finally Chain Lightning, all of which can [but not always] work to connecting even more clusters to your win.

The one thing the new game lacks, as did the original, is a free spins feature, which is replaced by the world bonus, which is achieved by completing the patterns on the board by wins, and then choosing the right envelope when offered. The world bonus is not a game-changer

I was never a big fan of Gemix from Play’n Go slots, despite its popularity with players however, things have changed, the sequel has arrived and new stuff added which, for me, makes it a better game even though the volatility is higher and the wins less frequent.

Reactoonz & 2
Reactoonz and the sequel have come from the original Energoonz title which proved popular but was improved with the Reactoonx makeover and addition of features.

Another cluster pays slot game, with high volatility and a 96.5% RTP, we find the 7×7 board and cascading wins format as seen in Gemix.

Reactoonz has arguably better features gained when winning symbols are added to the meter to activate the Quantum bonuses. A minimum of 25 winning symbols need to be added at which point, the first will be activated.

These can, but do not always help, connect more wins and add further symbols to the quantum metre. Get through all four bonuses, and you land the Gargantoon 3×3 Wild Symbol for, what can be at times, huge wins. Not only from the original 3×3 wild, but after that, he begins to separate, into two 2×2 wilds, and finally nine individual wilds.

The action is fast and furious when Gargantoon lands, and you’ll do well to spot the wins as they happen, but you’ll notice the win balance increasing rapidly, that’s for sure

The opinions are split as to whether the original Reactoonz is better than the sequel or if the new version tops the first. personally for me, The original still trumps the follow-up, despite the games being almost identical.
